I was just wondering through some journal's at work

and there their where some "people" journal's.

I saw some pictures from the Oscar 2009 the Red Carpet

and I fell in love with Amy Adam's outfit.

It was so beautiful, it was so stunning!

The necklace fit's so well with the outfit and her eyes are amazing!

This red dress is stunning .. 

I was shocked, I fell deeply in love with this outfit.

Charlie Strand

So here am I at home finally in my nice warm own bed :)

I flew from New York and came home at night.

I haven't been able to sleep much, really I didn't sleep at all last night 

and I wasn't really tired.

So friends came by all day and at the evening my dear aunt, godmother and quite a sister to me

invited me with her and her boyfriend and her friend to the Nordic Fashion Biennal.

I was going to go though she wouldn't phone me but I was starting to get a little lazy.

But when she rang I thought it would be a great idea.

My aunt's boyfriend is a friend of Charlie Strand, and he introduced us :) 

Strand was introducing his book Project: Iceland, Music, Art and Fashion.

He's an photographer and was telling us how he wanted to show the people little of everything in his book, or in his pictures.

It is quite cool images

Tree Heels

AA I found amazing shoes or heels in the market this weekend! 

"Kolaportið"

only for 2000 kr which are I think 16 dollars or something!

They are obviously so cool! 

My friend and I got an idea to paint the tree heel on the heels with black lack.

But these kind of heels are often used for showing some design on stage for models

and I have seen some quite similer these in Gucci!

I think Im in love with the indian designer, Manish Arora! 

He's colorful

He's fantastic !

He had an fashion show in Paris for summer-spring 2009, and I wanted to show you some pictures of the design.

Design and designers

[ I got this "dress" in an icelandic store called "Systur" ]

I don't have a favoirit designer

but I like a lot of the designs that some designers do

for an example Erdem!

I love the colors he uses in his designs

everything is so gentle and elegant, beautiful!

 

He says in an interview that he uses color, optimism and oddities!

And you can see that he does use it! 

Color - for sure!

Optimism - everybody needs to me optimistic about their creation 

and I can sure tell that Erdem shows some optimism in his design!

[ Two of my girlfriends decided to where some of my clothing and take some pictures at my place. The girl wearing the dress at the top is wearing a national dress from Tajikistan ]

I just wanted to blog a little about my inspiration

Mostly Im inspired by flowers and nature

I live in Iceland, and I think thats how nature inspires me a lot

I mean Iceland is most of all with the most amazing and beautiful nature in the world

Of course I can't say "in the world" cause I haven't been at all places in the world.

It's just something about icelandic nature that fascinates everybody!

I myself haven't heard any complains about it!

Here are some pics that Im really fond of :

Japanese materials! 

The flowers and the dark colors are amazing! 

It is my dream to visit Japan 

and see how different they are! Hah in a good way

This summer will "overalls " be " in" by my opinion

Mabe cause I just love overalls

Nationality and history!

I love messing the styles of nationality clothing up together

and of course I'm very fond of russian style,

Definitely cause I'm russian 

This unique fashion and style in every nationality

is just brilliant

Tights!

the best clothing in the world

I don't know what it is but I can't wear jeans

Well I have 2-3 pears of jeans

and hardly even notice them cause these pairs are always at my friends place

or somewhere in my room

I just never where them

almost only tights

and at summer I wont even need to where anything but skirts, overalls or dresses

No, you can't do that in Iceland but I will be dancing and shopping and tanning in Italy

or at my moms place in Russia 

ah after 3 months ..

Materials

If I could sometime begin to tell you my thoughts, I need to put up my pics.

I'm not in a rush, I just have so much to say and I cant have it waiting :)

Here is my vintage clothing

Im showing it here on my page and to everyone to get noticed ofcourse, I dont think that somebody would steal my ideas.

Ofcourse someone might do that, but this is vintage and is only one of a kind. 

So how can it be stolen ?

This fantastic material I found in my basement,

well it was a dress that my mother wore when she was pregnant.

I cut it a little and voila.. !

Well this green material was bought in a material store in Iceland called "Vogue".

The flowers are though made out of vintage materials :)

This is was a vintage skirt that I found in the basement and again the flowers, but now there out of red silk with some black glamp.

My first design

Year 2008, when the krisis in Iceland was huge everything and everybody where mad and whent mad. 

I discoverd that I enjoy'd making my ideas come true.

My clothing come true ..

So heres the first dress I made

My name is Alexandra 

I'm very interested in designing clothes and sewing.

I love to spread my ideas

I'm a student, finishing 10grade, so I'm finishing school and heading to "middle or high" school in Iceland in Reykjavík.

I'm going to study writing or journalistic's and literatures, 

and as well design and sewing my line.

I work with school in a shoestore calle Xena, Gabor. I sometimes don't have many time to sit down and explore my ideas and bring them to life.

But I try as hard as I can to sew and spread my ideas more.

Im mabe working or in school and I need to have a pencil or pen and a paper with me cause I need to sketch down my idea.

Well more about my future page,

I did this page cause I need to show my vintage creation.

Most of all my clothes are made out of vintage materials.

Its very comfortable and usefull to have vintage materials at this krisis time in Iceland!
